Who we are
Meliekte Endenat Charitable Association is women, child and youth focused, non-governmental, non-political and non-religious Ethiopian charitable association. It established to solve Educational, Economic, Social, and Psychological, Health and the rights problems and challenges of Ethiopian women, children and youth. Meliekte Endenat Charitable Association was founded by Ethiopians who want to contribute their knowledge and skills to the next generation and has been operating since October 2020, receiving its legal certificate from the FDRE Civil Society Agency.
Objectives
- Providing educational materials, clothing, food, hygiene care, and shelter for orphans and children living in poverty, to enable children to learn their education properly without interrupting.
- Enabling women and youth to access vocational and entrepreneurship skills training, to break free them from unemployment, the suffering of migration, and the economy dependency and guardian mentality.
- To protect the women and young generation from Addiction, sexual abuse, harmful cultures, unwanted pregnancies, and HIV/AIDS by organizing and facilitating Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRHs), Gender and life skills trainings for women and youth, as well as life experience demonstrations and peer-to-peer discussion forums.
- Preventing citizens from living on the streets, prostitution and robbery acts by providing food, medical care, clothing, home renovations, and rent assistance to families living in dire need.
